Close of Submissions

Panel statement
1 August 2018

I wish to extend my appreciation to everyone who contributed through the submissions process for the APS Review.

The submissions closed last night and the Panel and I are heartened by the receipt of hundreds of submissions that will help to shape the future of the APS.

As at midnight 31 July 2018, we had received 668 submissions. Of these, 87% were from individuals and 13% from organisations. Notably, the majority of people have opted to have their submissions published (79%). Of these, 38% chose to be anonymous.

I am pleased to see submissions coming from a broad range of people with an interest in ensuring the APS remains one of the best in the world.

Submissions will continue to be published on a rolling basis and we appreciate your patience with uploading this important data.  In particular, we have received hundreds in the last few days which is wonderful.  Approximately 40% have already been published and can be read on our website now.  More will be published every day.

This close of submissions does not mean the end of the conversation. The Panel and I will consider carefully the themes and ideas arising from the submissions and continue to ask more questions and engage through this website with the public.

I encourage you to Subscribe to hear more about where the APS Review will go from here, and stay in touch on news and upcoming events.
