I would like to see the public service exam brought back for school leavers as a future career path move.
It seems that tertiary education is the key to getting a public service job now and those people achieving tertiary education accolades are not climbing the career ladder at all or as quickly as they would like to and have enormous HELP debts on top of mortgages and general living expenses. Do you really need a degree or just on the job development?
Early start in the public service helps our children develop and mature. This on it's own is a service to the public. - JOBS.
When people are aware of where public service jobs are, they become aware of how the various public service organisations help them in their every day lives.
