I would like to see fair and timely pay rises in the Enterprise Aagreements. Human Services delayed the agreement by three years and offered 6% for the next 3 year agreement. This was only a 1% pay rise per annum overall - well below the CPI and the AWOTE increases.
Further, I would like to see equal pay for equal levels across all departments. It is unfair that people are paid more for doing the same level job in another department.
A committee should be set up to determine pay rates and increases independent of a few politicians or a public service commissioner who dictates wages according to their personal and ideological views.
